Milestone has announced Ride 3, ahead of the upcoming game's official release on 8th November 2018. The latest entry in Milestone's Ride bike racing game franchise, Ride 3 is also the first title in the series to utilise the Unreal 4 engine - following in the wake of other Milestone-developed games, such as Gravel, MXGP 3 and the upcoming MotoGP 18. As well as boasting improved visual fidelity and accuracy, Ride 3 is also claimed to offer a more authentic bike riding experience. Milestone states that, on top of physics changes, Ride 3 features a "revised collision system" and "improved AI" over Ride 2. Ride 3 will also boast noticeably more content over its predecessors. Milestone claims over 230 bikes will be included in the base game, with players having the option to customise them with a livery editor and over 500 different motorcycle parts. Furthermore, Ride 3 will contain 30 different locations, spread out across road courses, drag strips, city circuits and drone-scanned real-world race tracks. For the first time ever in a Ride game, night racing will also be present in Ride 3 - with the weather system from prior Ride games also presumably set to return in Ride 3. No details on Ride 3's multiplayer offerings were disclosed by Milestone, though it was confirmed that Ride 3 will contain an extensive career mode. Utilising a volume-based setup, Ride 3's various campaign mode chapters will focus on specific themes - with Milestone citing manufacturers, bike classes and noteworthy tracks as examples of what some of these volumes will focus on. Ride 3 will officially launch on 8th November 2018 across the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms
